New Office for PAC
As of March 1, 2010, 427 N. Main Street is home to the Piqua Arts Council. In
the 20th year since it was founded, PAC has moved from the office located in the
Chamber of Commerce building and taken its own storefront. "Having a larger
space will allow us to do so much more for the community," says Anna Baumeister,
Executive Director. Announcements about the positive impact of this move will be
shared as details are finalized. The office plans to open its doors to the pubic
on Monday, April 5. |
OAC Grant Funding
Piqua Arts Council is pleased to announce they have successfully solicited grant
funds from the Ohio Arts Council (OAC) for the very first time. Anna Baumeister
accepted her position as Executive Director in February of 2009 and immediately
began fostering a relationship with the local OAC representative who mentored
her through the application process. In December 2009 the arts council learned
their first grant received a score of 94 out of 100 and would receive $1,468.
These funds will be applied toward our Art in the Schools program budget to
broaden the arts council's reach within the local schools. |
